MISSION
The Mission of Re-Generate WV Political Action Committee (Re-WV PAC) is to train, mobilize, and elect new faces of leadership in West Virginia and to support those in office who are champions of progressive policies that work for West Virginia.
Together, we are creating a network of support for candidates who want to move West Virginia forward. Whether you are a seasoned politician, a political wonk or just curious about how to make our democracy work better for everyday people, you've come to the right place.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
For an annual donation of $250 or more (scroll down for information on how to donate by check instead of on-line), you will receive voting membership, allowing you an equal say in how we spend our collective funds in the following three ways:
1) RE-WV PAC supports progressive leaders in their candidacies by providing strong strategic message, campaign, and technical support;
2) RE-WV PAC also supports a progressive leadership training pipeline, and
3) we aim to build a community receptive to progressive values (through things like media and messaging trainings, op-eds, etc.).
PRINCIPLES
A. We believe in the public good and the common interest.
B. We believe in a positive, transparent, and accountable
government.
C. We believe in public investment in the future:
physical infrastructure for basic systems that
are accessible and work for everyone, as well as
investments in education, early childhood,
health care, and economic transition.
D. We believe in creating a thriving environment where
all people can live, work, raise their
families, and contribute to their communities.
E. We believe that we must address the root causes of the
problems we face using evidence-based approaches.
F. We believe in equality and civil rights for all
people.
G. We believe that, in a just and democratic society, all
citizens and groups should have access
to those individuals and groups responsible for
policy-making.
H. Within the context of a shared common good, we support
the right of self-determination of
all people.
I. Because our actions affect future generations, we
strive to act responsibly and to enjoy,
protect, and sustain a world rich in cultures and resources.
J. We believe in continuing self-examination in order to
make our actions consistent with our
progressive political philosophy.
K. While we think globally, we will primarily act
locally.
