Help man w/autism go to day program

Students who have special needs need extra special planning for life after high school. John (name changed for privacy), a student who has autism, has been working very hard with his school team to make a plan that is just right for him. He needs support becuase he cannot work full time and needs help to keep his day busy and continue to learn life skills and vocational skills.
After much research and many visits to many different programs John and his mom chose Have Dreams in Evanston, IL. It has all the componets they were looking for! It is a perfect match! Here is the catch ... the program costs $85 a day plus another $20 in tranpsortation to and from the program. John's mom is a single parent who is supporting John and his older brother who is a senior in college. There was a sudden stopage from family finacnial support and she has found herself in a situation where she cannot afford to send John to Have Dreams. She is applying for state funding that is available to people who have disabilities and it is a long process with lots of red tape.
I am John's teacher and am looking for people to help support John so that he can attend the program right away like he had planned instead of waiting the several months or possible years it will take to obtain state funding. John needs to be busy. He has learned so much while in school and it makes me sad to think that he might have to stay home alone becuase of the lack of funds. Giving to John will help him attend Have Dreams right away while his mom waits or funding. There are 10s of thousands of names on this waiting list for funding and so we don't know when he will be picked.
