Help Jesse Fight MS
Spende geschützt
Colleagues/Friends,
Good day. Many of you likely have a family member or friend that is affected by MS. Jesse Giggs is a good friend of mine who is currently living with MS. MS is a disease that attacks nerves in the brain and spinal cord. If left untreated, impulse transmission that occurs within nerve fibres can range from being mildly to severely disrupted, resulting in symptoms like extreme fatigue and lack of co-ordination. Living with MS has many physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
We are hoping to raise money for his injections, which will help alleviate some of the financial and emotional stress on him and his young family. Injections cost up to $20,000/year, if one was to not have insurance. On the other hand, insurance premiums can be costly as well, at the very minimum around $200/month. This is why we need your support!
More specifically, June 23rd, Jesse and I will be pedalling from Provost to Saskatoon. It's a distance of 275kms and we hope to do it in one day, assuming conditions are favourable to do so. If we can maintain a pace of 25kms/hr, we are looking at 11 hours of fun. Through pledges we want to raise enough money to help Jesse get the treatment he deserves. Any contribution to our journey is appreciated.
Any one who wants to join us is more that welcome to do so. Once we arrive in Saskatoon, I can guarantee endless trays of Creme Brûlée, how can that not motivate you!
Sincerely, and thank you,
Kerry Heck
