Help Buddy's Family

Donation protected

Uncle Buddy, the Navy Veteran/lifetime mechanic/husband/father/granddad/non-denominational preacher, with his calloused hands and wore out heart, got to go home that day from St. Vincent’s. Aunt Jeanne brought him home from the hospital and he was elated to be going home with her. She had trouble helping him out of the car when they got there and yelled for their son Eric to help. Eric, despite his disabled physical strength, gave the most valiant effort administering CPR to revive Uncle Buddy until the ambulance arrived to do their best, but Uncle Buddy was home and finally took his ultimate rest. Three weeks shy of their fifty first wedding anniversary, Jeanne lost the love of her life to a greater power. The hurt and pain was too immense for her to grasp those first few weeks. Reality settled in and what came home to her was not only had she lost her most precious Buddy, but she had lost sixty four percent (64%) of the family income. She, her disabled son of fourty-eight years, Eric, and his eleven-year old daughter, Riley were in that moment existing on about one third the income than just weeks before. The numbers didn’t work. No matter how you patched the dam water kept coming. It was clear the three of them will be under water in a matter of weeks.
They need help and they need it fast.  Eric is going to reapply for disability; the surgeries on his back, neck and hands have left him unable to work. Riley is in the fifth grade and has school supply needs as well as clothes, food and the basics for an eleven-year old. Jeanne just wants to continue taking care of the two of them and pay her bills.  At age sixty-nine she, too, is unable to work due to multiple physical ailments that she is under the doctors care for.
Buddy was so very much to those that met and knew him and are somewhat comforted knowing he left us on the land he loved, held by the woman he shared life with, and at the right hand of Jesus, whom he had worked for his entire life. Now his life partner/wife of fifty-one years continues the earth struggle, fighting the ties that bind and through her family is asking for whatever you can do to help.
Thank you for considering this family in need and may God bless.
