Legal Defense Custody Assistance For Michael

I have been a provider of transportation for several years serving the community for those that are not able to drive. One day I got a passenger whose story is difficult to forget.  I have driven him multiple times and have gotten to know him as a person, a Father, and a friend. With his permission I asked him if I could create a legal fund raiser for his situation.   His reply was of course anything will help this upward battle. In November of 1994, Michael had lost his sight due to a gunshot to the head from this he had no vision in both eyes. Since then he has overcome his blindness and encourages others when faced with life altering circumstances that their life is just beginning. Since high school Michael had received his certification in Massage therapy and had a successful career for 10 years until he got hurt on the job requiring surgery. Sadly after the surgery He was not able to return to work and living on workmen’s comp benefits. During this time Michael also became a proud dad of a beautiful little girl.  Custody conflicts started immediately after his daughter was born and her mother was trying to keep her away from him.  Four years have passed and Michael now has 50/50 custody of his daughter and has proven himself fit to be a parent. Now he is being alienated by the other party to the minor child and pushing her agenda on to the child making parenting difficult. He had tried putting her in to counseling and being met with resistance. Michael cannot afford an attorney and it has been escalated to a trial in front of a judge to make final decisions. I know and understand that it is a trying times for all during this pandemic so any donation to obtain an Attorney would truly be a blessing for it is himself against an the mother of his daughter’s attorney. From all of the experiences Michael had endured a passion was born in his heart to help other parents with similar situations.  Any money left over from the current campaign he is going to start a foundation to offset legal expenses, support groups and advocacy program for both parents. We have held yard sales and other methods of fundraising which yielded $3000.00 and the attorney working with Michael stated this will be a battle and we will need to raise another $10,000.00 or more.
