Emergency Child Custody

Hello everyone, we are Alison and Aaron Tomlinson. The step mother and biological father of 9 year old Aelissa, that we are going for full emergency custody. We cannot go into much details as there is open cases and we do not want to ruin our chances in court. We are worried about Aelissa and her 1 year old sisters safety and well-being in the care of their mother. We were advised with the new information that we should file for emergency custody, as soon as possible. However we live 2,000 miles away so we will have to add in airfare and absence from work. Aelissa is being subjected to abuse and neglect. There has been several open CPS cases based off of the neglect and abuse as well as her mothers mental health. Aelissa was on truancy for the school year of 2019-2020 and was switched to a different school district once the court hearings started. Aelissa’s mother was ordered to put her in therapy but we found out that through behavioral health she created the appointments but never went. They live in a small camper with 7+ people (Aelissa, her mom, her moms boyfriends(dads cousin), her 1yr old sister, her 17 year old aunt, her grandma, her uncle and his wife as well as several animals. They live in Michigan where it gets below zero and this concerns us. The new information we cannot announce, but it is illegal for adults and the adults are supporting/helping this situation by giving the child illegal items. Aelissa’s mother leaves her alone inside while she goes and hangs out with friends, Aelissa has had to get stitches from a open gash she received from riding on an ATV with a drunk adult, Aelissa is often left with her maternal grandmother and pushed aside from her baby sister. She has ran away from home several times. We are denied any access to Aelissa, the courts so far have sided with mom our court ordered visitation every summer and every other Christmas has been denied for 2 years. We would like to get a lawyer so we will be looking for one.. With the new information; we believe Aelissa’s safety and well-being is in harm. These funds will go towards the following; Court fee’s. Airfare. Anything would be greatly appreciated, even if you cannot donate but can share our story! I will update as much as I can.
