Cathy's Metastatic Cancer Healing

Seven years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. Like most women, I had no family history and no genetic markers. After a double mastectomy, plus 8 rounds of chemotherapy, I was sent on my way and believed to be cancer free until a year ago, when I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer which had spread to my bones.  Metastatic cancer is synonymous with Stage 4, and this means it is not curable with today’s conventional therapies.  Based on this, and my subsequent and ongoing research, I now realize that these conventional treatments alone do not offer me any real chance at long-term survival. 

So my journey to address my whole body health has begun, and innovative and alternative treatments do not come cheaply.  I am humble enough to acknowledge that I need help to keep my family afloat while funding some fascinating, promising, powerful measures to attack my cancer with a multi-pathway approach.  I have had to quit working and go on disability from my career job because of the intense treatments.  One very expensive shot requires that I travel to New York City each month for a day because this is the only place in the country where I can receive this treatment. If you have contacts with airline points or Angel Flights from RDU to NYC, I would love an introduction to help with transportation for that monthly trip.
