Hardship due to COVID-19

Hi, my name is Krystal mother of 2 girls age 2 and 7. Our lives were going great, everything was planned out, but due to COVID-19 it has destroyed our lives. Where I worked was forced to shut down due to the state mandate. I've been living off what I saved overtime, and I applied for unemployment and the state approved me, but I have been waiting on my back payment. I called the state every day and they told me they sent it out but I never received anything. They gave me number after number to call but no answer.

While waiting for my back pay, my landlord was getting on me about the rent. I never missed a payment, always on time, but then I fell two months behind in rent which I hate. I'm trying my best to get caught up, but she told me I couldn't live there so my girls and I stayed in motels and our SUV. I got Troubleshooter Diane Wilson from ABC11 involved, and she told me since my landlord didn't evict me the legal way to go back to my home and stay in it until the courts rule on the eviction. My landlord was not happy, and I had to get the police involved, but they confirmed I can live in the home until my landlord follows the law.

After ABC11 got involved, the state called me about my back pay in unemployment. Instead of getting good news, come to find out someone cashed my check by the name of James Alexander. He took my check now I have send an affidavit into the state along with a police report about the stolen check. Now it’s just a waiting process. I am just asking for resources and prayers and help if you would like. I know God can turn this around and I will not give up so that’s when I reach out to channel 11 news to help me.
