Phase I Charlemont Inn Renovations

The Charlemont Inn has been an active Inn in the town of Charlemont since 1775 with few interruptions - mainly during World War II and for the past 4 years.
We are now moving forward with major renovations to comply with new State and Local code requirements. The goal is to reopen the Inn during 2016.
The immediate need which this funding round will address the following:
1. $5,000 to begin the replacement of the electrical system starting with kitchen.
2. $20,000 to replace the walls, floors and ceiling in the kitchen. We will be starting out as a catering kitchen providing catering services for Western Massachusetts.
This funding round is in the short term - We need to start the replacement of the electrical system no later than June 1, 2016.
If we aren't successful in raising this funding, the town of Charlemont may be able to take control of the building and do with it as they please.
Many, many figures from our history including Mark Twain, General John Burgoyne, Calvin Cooledge, Ethan Allan and Benedict Arnold were all guests who have walked on the same floors that all of our 20th century guests have walked.
The Inn has been on the National Historic Register since 1987.
We are in the process of reactivating the Charlemont Historical Preservation Society which was founded in 2010. At this point, we cannot state that your gift will be potentially tax deductible, but we hope to have news on this front in the near future.
Future phases (which we will be creating new GoFundMe's for ) will include:
Phase II - Porch Dining Room renovations as well as fully ADA (Americans for Disability Act) compliant. We expect that this phase wil begin late summer 2016 with completion by the end of 2016.
Phase III - Renovations of the lodging rooms will begin to be opened in time for fall foilage season with more complete by the end of 2016 and into 2017.
Phase IV - Renovation of the Tavern and Main Dining Rooms. This will occur in early 2017.
All dates are subject to being moved up subject to the availability of cash!
