Aliza Rae's Open Heart Surgery

Aliza Rae was diagnosed with tetralogy of fallot (TOF), a rare congenital heart defect when I was 20 weeks pregnant. We were aware she would need open heart surgery we just did not know when it would happen. She was seen by her cardiologist every two weeks from the time she was born up until now. She was stable with the help of her medication up until this Tuesday afternoon. I was driving and Aliza was crying very hard, I pulled over and found her pale, grey in skin color, unresponsive and limp. We rushed her to hospital and that's where we discovered she had a TET spell. This is a rapid drop in the amount of oxygen in her blood which caused her to lose consciousness for 15-30 seconds. The doctors did not want to risk Aliza having any more "warning signs" and had her transferred to Miami children's hospital where they will perform her open heart surgery on Monday May 16th. Aliza has been through so much these past couple days and has to spend another week in the cardiac icu for recovery. We truly appreciate any contributions even if it's just a prayer. Thank you ❤️
