Help Save VFW Post 1418's Home

VFW Post 1418 is located on St. Johns Rd, in Champlain New York. For 49 years the Post Home has catered the community with many events, both big and small. We have been here to help the community by opening our doors for private banquets, weddings, graduations, funerals, and just fun parties. The past 49 years the Post Home has been a pivotal asset to the community. Even more important this place has been a bigger asset in the VFW's mission: "To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans."

Covid-19 shut down our operations, and made us cancel all of your events, as well as our own. This post depends on the income that is generated from these parties and our patrons. While the income has stopped, the bills and operating expenses have not. We have continued to pour out our funds to cover these cost, and now there is no more money.

The membership is faced with a tragic decision. Without funds coming in, we cannot maintain operation, nor can we afford to keep the space. With no end in sight for Covid-19 we are forced to consider selling the building and land to keep our charter in tact.

We are asking the public to "Help Us Save Our Home." Any little bit helps. The Veterans who built this wonderful place, and those who continue to operate it are in a fight for survival. Please stand and fight with us, as faithful patrons, community members, and as proud patriots. Consider donating to help the Veterans of Post 1418 save our Home.
