24hrs on Zwift for My Block, My Hood, My City
Tax deductible
These past two weeks have been eye opening for many in the USA. I wanted to find a way to show my support for those protesting for change that went further than just posting on social media and voicing my support.
That's why I've chosen to dedicate a full 24 hours to riding on Zwift to raise money for My Block, My Hood, My City. I will start the ride midday on July 3rd and ride for 24 hours into July 4th. The ride will start at noon on the 3rd! I plan on doing the ride in ~6 hour blocks, with 10-15 minute breaks after each block to change and eat a meal.
You can watch the ride live here: https://www.twitch.tv/thecyclissimo
My Block, My Hood, My City is a Chicago based organization that, "provides underprivileged youth with an awareness of the world and opportunities beyond their neighborhood. We take students on explorations focused on STEM, Arts & Culture, Citizenry & Volunteerism, Health, Community Development, Culinary Arts, and Entrepreneurism."
The organization has also been working to help small businesses and support senior citizen members in their communities during the COVID-19 crisis.
