Some memories cannot be regained, but new ones can be made” On July 11th , my mother and I lost our “safe place”, our home for the past 14 years due to a massive fire that took everything from us except for the clothes on our backs. As I watched all the good times and memories burn I immediately thought of my mom who lived through a stroke & heart attack and how this would affect her. I cried with her as she too watched all her accomplishments wither away, wondering what our next steps would be. While it hurts to even ask for help I know I have to tuck my pride aside and continue to be my mom’s primary caregiver while she struggles daily from effects of the stroke. Due to limited funding and help, I am humbly asking for any donations/contributions that can be made that will allow me to continue on the road of finding a new home, clothes/essentials and food. Over the years we’ve opened our arms and home to those in need, and yet it is still awkward to ask for a helping hand. Thank you for all your help in advance.
