Stage 4 Cancer Treatment Fund for Richard

As many of you may already know, this past Sunday my brother Richard went into the Emergency Room with extreme discomfort for what he thought was a colitis flare up due to a previous misdiagnosis from an earlier medical visit, and in general, suffering with gastrointestinal related flare ups over the past couple of years. After performing a CAT scan, it was discovered that he had multiple cancerous growths on his colon, and it was decided that he would require emergency surgery to remove. This surgery was successful, but they further found that he has stage 4 colon cancer, and it has spread to his liver. We are grateful that he went in when he did, and that the surgery on his colon was successful, but in order to treat the cancer now invading his liver he will need to seek out chemotherapy treatments, and unfortunately, in the current climate he does not have health insurance coverage. For this reason, we would like to reach out to the community, and ask for any generosity that can be offered to help support him in this time of need. This diagnosis comes as a shock to us as he is only 35, and has much of his life yet to live. He has plans to move to the UK with his girlfriend, Danielle, who we are thankful convinced him to go in after realizing the amount of pain that he was experiencing this time. If not for her, more time may have passed with this diagnosis left untreated. We know that this is just the beginning of what may be a difficult road to recovery, and we are thankful for the family, friends and cosplay community Richard has to help support him, and keep his spirits up while he takes on this new challenge that has presented itself.
