In loving Memory of Chelsea Ridings

An open letter to everyone, It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Chelsea Ridings of Knoxville Tennessee has passed away this week at the very young age of 28. I, like a lot of you, have been on an emotional roller coaster these past few days, not knowing what to do or what to say. To that affect, I am still not able to really speak or type the words that I would like to. There are probably better people than I who could. What I do know is that Chelsea was a light in the lives of everyone she knew. She was ALWAYS laughing and smiling. She was a daughter, a friend, a student. Yes, but most importantly she was a mother of 3. I believe more than anything that is how she would want to be remembered. She worked tirelessly juggling multiple jobs at times to make ends meet. She put the needs of her sons, her family and even strangers far above her own. Which is why I am asking for help. Those kids deserve the world and I don’t have the funds to donate entirely to myself. Funerals are expensive, kids are even more expensive and life as a whole is really expensive for most of us. This is not a college fund by any means, that might not be the path that these boys will take. If someone told me at a young age that many strangers and friends of my deceased mother had donated money for my brothers and I to go to college. That would understandably be a lot a pressure. Chelsea inspired me and so many others to live our lives and chase our dreams so whatever money we can raise will be 100% donated to Chelsea’s family to help pay for school but also clothes, food, hobbies and dreams etc. Please donate what you can, if you cannot I just ask that you share this with as many people as you can.
