For Christopher and I

As many people know it's just Christopher and I. Christopher is only 11 days old he has a Pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum. While I was pregnant with him the doctors informed me that a small operation would work for him and that he wouldn't need Open heart surgery. Unfortunately the surgery didn't work and Christopher did need to have open heart surgery due to the fact that the right side of his heart was too tough to penetrate through. Everyday he's getting stronger and a little better he's healing a little slower than some but that's ok! I know he's going to get through this! The doctors tell me that we're just going to have to be here a little while is all. This also means that I'm going to have to take off more time from work than expected to be here with him. I originally had enough in my savings to get us by but with having to be here in the hospital with him

longer and his extra surgery I've realized I will have exhausted all of my savings. With that being said it's time to place my pride aside and do what I thought I would never have to do. I used all of my PTO time when I left work and sadly I won't get the rest till I return "company policy" my work also doesn't offer FMLA.
