Sophia's Sound Therapy

Hi All,
This is a call out for Sophia, my 9 year old girl who has begun a very successful alternative sound therapy to help her make progress through some very challenging auditory processing deficits. These deficits make it difficult for Sophia to learn in many ways, most notably in her reading abilities but also in her ability to hold visual information (symbols) in her short term memory bank to recall readily. This makes mathematical operations (numbers) and holding text (think sight words) extremely difficult for this sweet, caring and loving kiddo.
We have begun a sound therapy program that has four 2-3 week blocks of therapy and intermittently scheduled breaks. After the first three weeks we noticed unimaginable changes. Sophia is now telling jokes, more animated, complaining less when asked to perform an academic task and motivated! She is now active and constantly wanting to ride her bike. My dream!
While I was hopeful, the therapy is unfortunately not covered by insurance and will ultimately cost about $5,000. I am hoping to cover any part of the cost as it puts a significant amount of strain on our family. If you are able to contribute in any way, big or small, it is greatly appreciated. These funds will cover 60% of her therapy, if we get there!
We will push through it in any way possible. The therapy is meant to promote dendritic growth in the brain allowing more places for synapses to move through the brain and allowing Sophia to be freed from some of the constraints of the auditory processing challenges she faces. It is completely safe & passive, she listens to specific music placed at certain frequencies for 2 hours a day during the therapy blocks.
If I have learned anything at all in my life it is that it takes a village to raise a child and that if you don't ask for help no one knows that you may need it. Here we go village, I am asking. :)
