My name is Anthony Brown. I am a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. My line is The Twelve Tales of Terror and we crossed at Prairie View A&M University, home of THE Rho Theta Chapter, on April 14, 1984.
Since we crossed into Omega we have sought only to bring honor to fraternity by serving with commitment, dignity, and reverence. We, along with EVERY man of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. firmly believe that our greatest purpose is to serve others - in obedience to our founders expectations, and certainly that of our Creator.
At this time, I come to you humbly, as we seek to help one of our own. Darryl "Tank" Thomas (pictured 3rd from the right) was the number 6 on our line of 12. "Tank" as he is commonly known, has fallen ill over the last few months and we endeavor to stand in the gap, financially, as he works to recover. After suffering a stroke, we are already seeing the hand of God at work as "Tank" has regained his sight in his left eye and is showing increasing signs of use of his left side. He has been moved from ICU, to a physical therapy unit, and on May 18th, he will be moved again to an assisted care facility. This is where I / we, seek your help.
God has consistently shown His favor throughout this ordeal, and has revealed His power through the healing already provided. We are all of like mind in our belief that He requires of us all; our time, our talents, and our treasure! Most assuredly, God does NOT need our money. However, to continue to help "Tank" recover, we solicit your financial assistance in helping him receive the treatment he needs to attain a full recovery.
We have established a goal of $10,000 without any knowledge of whether this amount will be sufficient or not. But, we are steadfastly believing God, that because we are asking it in FAITH, HE will provide!
So, if you know us, or if you know "Tank", you know we ask humbly, and understand if the desire is there but you are unable. At the same time, if you have no clue who we are, but believe as we do, that God is able, then you might consider making a contribution of any amount (nothing is too small) to this worthy cause.
We are reminded of the ten lepers who fell on their face when they saw Jesus and lifted up their voices and said "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us". If you know the story, then you know that only one of the ten, turned back and fell down at His feet , and with a loud voice, GLORIFIED God! Truely thanking Him for the healing grace that He provided.
If you are able, please help us to help our brother. The members of the Twelve Tales of Terror, will no doubt be amongst the first to contribute, We wouldn't ask you to do something that we wouldn't do ourselves! But, we need your help. And to be sure, we, like the Samaritan, will give thanks, honor, and Glory to God, for whatever He places on your heart to do!
