I am Ann Fry, I live in Scappoose.  My mother in law Betty Fry lost her oldest son, Scott,  to brain cancer thursday afternoon, May 6th.  Betty was going to be 85 years old later this month.  Later the same night, her house caught on fire.  It appears to be an accident. It was on news stations as the "Portland 33rd and SE Salmon house fire" on the morning of May 7th, 2016.   She lost her life within a few hours of Scotts passing.  Her youngest son, Dennis, who had been staying at the house helping take care of her is now in the hospital.  Dennis didn't have health insurance and the house that had been in the family since the 1960's was also uninsured.  Betty lived on social security and didnt have a lavish lifestyle.  We are devistated to have lost both her and Scott so close together. We are asking for money to help with Betty's final expenses, Dennis's hospital bills and the possibility that the city will  want the house demolished before her probate will be finished.
