Teaching in Nepal

Hi family and friends!

As some of you know, I currently teach 4th grade in an inner-city charter school in Queens, New York. Our student body includes children whose families are from South America, Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States. Teaching underprivileged children is a passion of mine and I would like to extend my passion to the world. I would like to volunteer to teach for a month in Nepal, but I need your help.

Nepal is one of the poorest and least-developed countries in the world. A large portion of the population lives below the poverty line and there is widespread unemployment. With great trekking and adventure sports, there is a living to be made from the tourist industry, and so learning the English language is one way in which people can improve their chances of building better futures.

In order to volunteer to teach English in Nepal, I need to raise a total of $5000.00 by Wednesday, May 1st. I would like to ask for your help! Any contribution would help subsidize my travel expenses and provide educatonal supplies to the children. Please know that no donation is too small, sometimes a lot can be done with very little. If my goal is not met, all donations will be donated to the Nepal Youth Foundation in your name.
