My name is Krysten, and my sister Jackie and her fiancee Darren lost almost everything in the Fort McMurray fires. They got out with a small bag of items, but all of their belongings were left behind.
While they are both incredibly grateful to have made it out safely with their two dogs, Waldo and Hudson - they are put in a situation where they do not have jobs or a home to go back to.
Rebuilding a life is expensive. They have bills that still need to be paid, and they do not have any clothes or personal items at all.
Darren and Jackie were about to return home to Beaverton, Ontario for their wedding on June 11th. This is supposed to be some of the best days of their life, and they are faced with not even having basic personal necessities.
All money raised in this campaign will go to my sister and Darren to purchase clothes/shoes, toiletries and just start the process of re-building their lives from scratch.
I want this time of their life to be special, they have been looking forward to this wedding for over a year. Please give what you can, even if its $5. If those who love these two wonderful people come together - we can really make a difference getting their life back on track.
