Adopt a Hero

Somos un grupo de médicos salvadoreños y una civil que vivimos en el exterior y sabemos cómo el COVID ha afectado la primera línea en el mundo entero. Los héroes de primera línea en El Salvador, han quedado en el olvido por más de 40 años y cuando el COVID aún no había llegado, intentaron prepararse. Sin embargo, entre la escasez equipo de protección personal en el mundo, la situación económica y el estado deplorable en el que se encuentran los hospitales, no lograron conseguir lo suficiente; no había suficiente EPP que los protegiera de ser golpeados por el virus dejándoles solamente 1 mascarilla N95 a la semana (si tienen suerte), una que otra mascarilla quirúrgica, el inmenso amor a su prójimo y su enorme valentía. En países del primer mundo, muchos tuvieron la oportunidad de decir que no irían a batalla contra el virus sin protección adecuada. Nuestros héroes, además han tenido que batallar contra una restricción en la exportación de mascarillas N95 y altos precios sin control, lo cual hace su lucha aún más difícil. Les pedimos ayuden a sus hermanos, como no dudamos ellos les ayudarían. Hay necesidad en todos los departamentos de todos los hospitales pero empezaremos esta campaña con el personal médico de la UCI del hospital Rosales. Son un equipo de 35 médicos y 70 personas de enfermería. Por favor, Adopta un Héroe. Por solo $99 mensuales, se les proveerá lo siguiente: 30 mascarillas quirúrgicas (1 diaria) 4 mascarillas N95 (1 SEMANAL) 2 trajes nivel 3 (1 QUINCENAL) Si usted se graduó de la Escuela de Medicina en El Salvador, por favor recuerde donde lo forjaron con el amor de quienes ahora están haciendo el último sacrificio. Toda cantidad es bienvenida, pero si puedes, #AdoptaUnHeroe en su totalidad. ---------‐------------------------------------------------------------------ We are a team of Salvadorean doctors and one civilian living abroad and we know how COVID has affected frontline heroes all over the world. El Salvador's frontline heroes have been left in oblivion for over 40 years, therefore, when COVID was still on it's way, our heroes tried their best to get prepared. However, between the lack of PPE that was already scarce in the world, the economic situation of the country and the deplorable conditions of the hospitals, none of their efforts where enough. There was no way for them to get enough PPE that would protect them from getting slammed by the virus, leaving them with nothing else than a weekly N95 mask (if they're lucky) a couple of surgical masks, the inmense love they have for others and an immeasurable courage. In the first world, many had a chance to say they wouldn't go to battle without proper protection. Our heroes have also had to battle a import restriction on N95 masks and price gouging which makes their fight harder. We are asking you to come help your brothers and sisters, as we have no doubt they would come help you. There's need on each department of each hospital, but we are starting this campaign with the Hopsital Rosales' ICU's medical staff. They're a team of 35 doctors and 70 nurses.
