Community First Church, Homeland

Community First in Homeland California was set ablaze on Saturday evening April 30, 2016.  The church santuary was completely destroyed.  Over 45 fire fighters were on the scene but to no avail in saving our building.  It is not known how the fire started but it is currentlly under Federal investigation.  Fortunately, there was no one injured.  There were 5 crosses in and on the building, and despite the roof collapsing and all the water that was used to extinuish the fire, every one of them are still standing!
     Community First has been an icon in Homeland for over 50 years.  Homeland consists of roughly 6000 people and is an unincorporated city in Riverside, California. There are many hardship stories of the lives of people who live here so having a church here is an important ministry.  Community First has a food ministry where the homeless and poor can receive food every week.  We also have an archery program for the youth.
     "I don't know how but we are trusting that God will be glorified in all this" says Senior Pastor Mike Gratzke.  "We will continue serving God in our community as we rebuild.  The people are the church and the church is still alive."
     Insurance won't cover everything and many people and churches are asking how to help.  We are going to need everything to sound/music equipment to chairs etc.
     Community First is a 501c3 non-profit organization so all giving is tax deductable.
     What the enemy has ment for evil God will turn  into good.   God be the glory and the power as we unite together to advance the Kingdom.
