Wrongfully incarcerated nearly 40yrs!

Milam Martin who is my dad spent nearly 40 years in prison for something he didn't do!!! He was released from prison a little over a week ago with nothing but letters, pictures, and prison clothes. After nearly 40 years of wrongful imprisonment he is still fighting to clear his name! The Governor commuted his sentence, but he still remains convicted! Our fight for my dad’s full exoneration continues as we, in partnership with attorneys at the Illinois Innocence Project and Exoneration Project, focus on clearing his name. Despite the countless challenges he’s faced while spending the majority of his life imprisoned as an innocent man, comes home with an inspiring strength of character. Words can not express what I feel inside having to go decades without my dad in my life growing up due to a failed system. We are so thrilled to welcome him home! #justiceformilammartin
