Who we are!
Welcome to the Irish Federation of Sea Anglers
Representing the Sea Angling Community of Ireland for over 50 years.
The Federation founded in 1953 is a voluntary body which provides support for affiliated clubs and members, runs national competitions and presents International teams for Boat & Shore, Senior, Ladies and Juniors on the world stage.
We aim to develop and foster the sport of sea angling in Ireland
Our members vary from the novice angler out to enjoy their 1st competition to anglers competing on the world stage! It's truly awe-inspiring to look down the stretch of beach and seeing three different generations sharing in a common interest. Having a grandfather, a father, and a son all competing against each other is a rareity in any sport.
This is what we are about, bringing people together with one common interest in mind. The IFSA are heavily involved in the development of Sea Angling in Ireland.

Why do we need €13,000?
€13,000 will go a long way to covering some of the costs. There are 8 people involved in each team with 4 teams travelling.. The event will cost a whole lot more but we are trying to seek other funding through grants and sponsorship.
The cost of accomodation and travel alone is €17,500 for the competition dates. Not including accomodation for practice days.

Gold Medalists - Two years in a row!
How we will use the funds
We're going to use the funds to take some of the burden from the anglers themselves so they can focus more on the fishing! We're hoping to try raise enough in total to cover their travel and accomodation. It costs a lot of money for them to prepare their equipment, least their accomodation and travel.
