Navin’s Fundraiser for the World Food Program

My name is Navin Davoodi. I am giving a virtual violin concert on May 24 at 1:00pm as my confirmation project. The concert is a fundraiser for the World Food Program which is working to address the hunger pandemic that has arisen because of COVID-19. By the end of 2020 more than a quarter of a billion people will be suffering from acute hunger. Though I had originally planned to support wildlife conservation through this concert I decided to change the focus of my fundraising as the pandemic spread. I am a violinist who performs with the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra and am the concert master in my school orchestra. I am grateful to everyone who has supported my project, especially Chris Warrington for accompanying me and my mentor Bill Allman for his encouragement. All proceeds will go to the World Food Program.
