Justice For Debenhams Bangladesh Team

Donation protected
In the middle of a pandemic, 69 Debenhams Bangladesh liaison office employees have been discarded with nothing and no hope of a new job. On 15th April 2020, they received and e mail from Debenhams Managing Director, Stephen Cook, advising the termination of their jobs immediately. The team were at home under strict countrywide locked down. Debenhams have not paid their April salaries and not respected contracts. Our friends and colleagues are owed: - April salary - Redundancy pay - and most of all .. Respect and appreciation It is beyond belief. The Debenhams denim team was one of the best I ever worked with. They were proud to work for Debenhams and prioritised their job above all else. The dedication they gave Debenhams was above and beyond putting in extra hours to make sure shipments left on time, returning home at midnight after being stuck in traffic after visiting the suppliers. They never complained. For myself, Rowan, Lara and the all the product teams we could not have done our job without them. These people were more than colleagues. They dropped us at the airport for the 2am flight; collected us at 4am Kept us safe above all else when the country had riots and trouble They were always prepared ensuring we always were all able to do our jobs properly These men and women were our team and we are proud of them and the job they did. We ask you to support our friends and share this message of terrible injustice committed by one of the most respected British retailers
