2024 Lifesaving World Championships

Hello,
My name is Amaia and I have been selected to compete for GB at the 2024 World Championships in the Gold Coast, Australia. Whilst excited, me and my family are struggling with the funding and are asking for some financial help to attend this competition as it is an incredible opportunity.
Lifesaving is an international sport, but the funding for the sport in the UK is scarce. GB Lifesaving athletes have to self-fund the travels, accommodation, and kit fees and it puts a lot of pressure on families financially.
I have competed at the 2022 Lifesaving World Championships, in Italy, the 2023 European Championships, in Poland and the 2023 Commonwealth Games in Canada and all of these trips have had to be self-funded. It is very unfortunate that the funding for this sport is so low and a lot of people are working on changing that, but unfortunately for now, that is not an option.
Donations will help fund the whole trip, including kit, flights, accommodation and more.
I would be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter the amount, but please don’t feel obligated to donate!
