2022 Jackets for the Homeless Drive

 

We are excited to announce the official kick-off of our annual “Jackets for the Homeless” drive for 2022!  As we begin our fundraising drive this year, it occurs to us that we have been retired for five years now (wow!). Over these past five years, Transforming A Life has been able to distribute over 42,000 Jackets to our friends in need. Providing this number of jackets would not have been possible without your continuous support. Your prayers, financial support and assistance in distributing the jackets have been indispensable in allowing our jacket drive efforts to continue.

When we first began Transforming A Life, the cost of jackets we purchased was typically in the $5 to $7 range, depending on the type and size of jacket. Although jacket prices have continued to increase, we are still able to find jackets at a cost of approximately $10 and under.

Also, since we began the jacket drive, we have been truly blessed to have so many new

volunteers join in on the efforts to help distribute the jackets. This past year we had over 450 of our friends helping us in getting the jackets to the needy!

We would like to give a special “thank you” to our friends at Pilot Shipping Company, who have generously helped us to ship our jackets throughout the country (a service for which we are extremely grateful!).

 

So, as we launch our 2022 Jacket Drive, we once again are asking for your help in making this

year’s efforts a success. Again, we thank you for any help you can provide with this year’s Jacket (and clothing) Drive.  Your support is greatly appreciated!  As a reminder, please know that 100% of the funding received is used in purchasing the jackets/clothing, and the donations are tax-deductible. 

Our mission is to restore and support the basic necessities of life to the needy and homeless through the provision of basic warm clothing and food, and to support those non-profit organizations which provide them shelter, with the ultimate goal of decreasing the numbers of cold and hungry, so that they may conduct their lives in a happy and dignified manner.
