2019 GRST QDMA feeding those in need

The Greater Rochester Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association’s (GRSTQDMA) is continuing our 2018 initiative  into 2019. This effort will  help provide support to the Venison Donation Coalition (VDC) of New York.  The QDMA is an organization that practices conservation as well as education to protect and expand our hunting heritage.  The mission of the Venison Donation Coalition (VDC) expands on those same principles of providing wholesome food for the hunter's family, by funding the Venison Donation Program in New York.   VDC (a not for profit organization) provides funding to process venison donated by hunters across the State. This renewable resource of venison provides quality, wholesome meals to those less fortunate and the hungry. 


The GRSTQDMA will match donations dollar for dollar up to $1,000 donated though this fund raising campaign to support the Venison Donation Coalition. Our combined efforts potentially puts $2,000+ in the hands of an organization dedicated to feeding hungry people.  A $2 donation will provide four (4) servings, which means if we reach our goal, we can help serve 4,000+meals. 


Since 1999, the Venison Donation Coalition (http://venisondonation.com /) has been highly successful in its goal to feed the hungry throughout the State. They have processed an average of 38 tons of venison each year.  In 2012 over 4 million servings of highly nutritious meat was served to individuals and children in need!
