200km for 2k - Mental Health Awareness

As some of you may know I’ve been off work for a few months due to mental health. Without working I have felt like I’ve lacked purpose in my days, and feel like my time could be used more wisely. So I’ve decided to try raise money and give back to a not for profit charity that I can confidentially say has saved my life on more occasions than I’d like to admit. Beyond Blue and their amazing Emergency Suicide Support services team deserve the world in my eyes. In recent weeks my loved ones have lost a precious soul to the darkness of depression and with COVID, mental health services are seeing 3x the amount of people needing help which is a scary stat!


So for 30 days I’m hoping to walk 200km (the distance from my house in the Sunshine Coast to the Story Bridge in Brisbane and back)


For every $10 donated I’ll walk 1km. The distance I cover won’t include my normal day to day walking, I’ll be specifically going out and clocking the K’s up on my foot falcon and tracking them via Strava app. I will begin my trekking on Monday the 17th of August.


I’d love for your support and any donations big or small and I cannot wait to make purposeful use of all this free time and create awareness that it is okay to not be okay, and no one is doing this alone!
