2000 miles for Lukaba Hande Skatepark, Mongu Zambia
Spende geschützt
Hi guys and girls, my names Kingsley Ngenda. I'm currently fundraising to help out a project based in Mongu, Zambia named Lukaba Hande Skatepark.
The Skatepark was built in 2021 as a result of the years of hard work by Johnny K Kalenga, founder of We Skate Mongu.
I had the privilege of staying with Johnny for a month back in 2019 when the idea of a Skatepark in Zambia seemed completely unattainable. He created We Skate Mongu back in 2016 where he taught underprivileged children how to skateboard and also created new leaders within his region who later became skateboard coaches.
The project is highly reliant on grants and fundraisers which can be few and far between. Hundreds of children turn up daily to take part but the resources are staggeringly scarce.
This fundraiser will help provide for things such as :
• Safety Equipment (Helmets, Knee pads etc)
• Footwear
• Construction of toilets, drinking stations and other sanitation
• Storage areas
In order to raise these funds, I have challenged my self to run a total of 2000 miles / 3218km in the year of 2025.
This will be completed via road, trail and treadmill running and the stats can be viewed via my strava profile, as well as updates on races and media via my Instagram @thehybriddiary
Please check out both Johnny's Instagram pages to read the whole story regarding the Skatepark.
All donations will be greatly appreciated.
