Desert March for Veterans

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

On March 25th the 20th Intelligence Squadron from Offutt Air Force Base will send five Airmen to White Sands Missile Range for a 26.2 mile march in honor of WWII veterans.   This squadron has been organized and will be led by our son, Airman Jackson Harrington.

The Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging march through the high desert terrain of the White Sands Missile Range. The memorial march is conducted in honor of the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health, and, in many cases, their very lives.

The 20th IS will be competing in the Military Team Heavy Division, each marching with 35 lbs rucksacks of canned food for donation.    In addition to the $1,500 we hope to raise for travel and registration, all additional proceeds will be donated to Bataan Veterans and their families.

For complete information on the history of the 1,000 American and 9,000 Filipino soldiers who died during the 1942 Bataan Death March for whom this event memorializes and honors, please visit

We are so grateful for your support.
