Growing up I would tell my mom that I wanted to be 3 things: a cheerleader, a lawyer and a mommy. She would tell me, "well baby, as long as you do those 3 things in that very order you will accomplish all of them and so much more". When I was 5 years old I attempted to be a cheerleader, I never became a lawyer so I became a Director at my local YMCA instead, and I am finally getting to start this journey of becoming a mommy with my best friend by my side.
In 2011, I met this amazing guy who shared a lot of the same interests as me, but challenged me everyday to be a better person. May 16, 2015 (not May 15th Bobby... he will forever be a day early on our anniversary. haha) we said "I do" and it has been the best, most challenging 2.5 years of our lives.
God has a plan for everyone and every couple. Gods plans for mine and Bobby's lives have taken us on the biggest roller coaster of our lives when back in June we found out that we were PREGNANT! Shortly after our exciting news, we found out that I was having an ectopic pregnancy which ended up resulting in the doctors having to remove my left tube. This loss devasted me. But Bobby remained strong and kept our family going!
In January we found out that we were PREGNANT again, however I knew shortly after the good news that something was once again wrong. After 2 days in the doctor's office trying to confirm what I already knew to be the case, we were rushed over to the ER. After several hours, tests, tons of needles trying to get blood, and tears later the doctor finally confirmed that I was indeed having another ectopic pregnancy. This surgery once again resulted in them having to take my right tube.
Bobby and I knew immediately what we were going to do, ADOPT!
After spending days on the phone with several agencies and adoption lawyers we learned that our next journey in life was going to cost us more then we have. Which is why we are reaching out to our friends and family for your support, whether it be through prayers or financial support, we appreciate anything you can do to help us start our FAMILY!
Average Breakdown of Adoption:
Application fee: --> $1,000
Consultation: $80/hour x 2 hours --> $160
Home Study: $2,000 x 2 --> $4,000
Travel for CW doing Home Study: $80/hour x 3 hours x 2 trips --> $480
Profile Book & Video: --> $1,000
Placement fee: --> $25,000
Attorney fees: --> average $5,000
Total: $36,640
