Support 2 Film Students Create Their Final Bachelor Film!

We’re David Valkysers and Olivia Ibrahimova, two up and coming film students out of Munich, who are currently trying to get their bachelor film on its legs. And, as you may have guessed given what you’re looking at right now, that takes a little more money than the two of us can currently muster. As such, here we are, and we are looking for kind folks such as yourself to support us in our vision. What exactly is our vision? Well, glad you asked:

OUR VISION

We are aiming to create a visually distinct, nordic inspired art-film discussing the complexities and strains of expectations, social pressures and cyclic violence, set on a historically inspired stage, featuring a captivating soundtrack, drama, runes, and fire, with an emphasis on human connection and nature. We follow two warriors as they prepare to face each other in a duel to the death for a vacant throne; The Warrior, stern and determined, ready to claim what he deems is rightfully his by any means necessary; And the Warrioress, who fights for a chance at a better tomorrow, fights for change. As the two ready themselves for what’s ahead, the sound of drums thunders from deep in the woods: an ancient shaman beating her drum, that aims to guide them toward a choice that will challenge their beliefs and redefine their understanding of power and freedom forever.

A LITTLE BIO SO YOU GET AN IDEA OF WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

The two of us have been steadfast friends since the beginning of our studies, and have both decided to join forces on our final project to challenge ourselves and push the limits of what it is we can create: Intriguing and insightful storytelling, utilising thoughtful and evocative visual language; a blend of the best parts of each of us: Storytelling and stunning visual execution. Besides that, we’re honestly pretty goofy and like to joke around a fair bit, although half the time we just start laughing over what is quite literally nothing, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

To put it bluntly, for who are we to waste your time with a whole paragraph: Movies are fiendishly expensive. Around 4000€ expensive in this case. Who’d have thought, right? So, us being students and all, who’s main objective has been studying rather than investing in crypto and eying the stock market like a food-deprived vulture 24/7, we could use any financial support we can get. Your contributions will go towards providing food and transport for our amazing crew, ensuring that our art department has the budget they need to create and deliver stunning make up and hair looks, as well as authentic and jaw-dropping costumes and props, as well as paying for all the fun logistic stuff of an outdoor set, like heating, generators and the likes. We won’t bore you with the details, but you get the idea. With your help, we will be able to elevate the production quality of this movie to something worthy of, well YOU, the audience. Something that we hope can do our vision as well as you justice. And yes, I am aware this was a whole paragraph after all… just sort of happened that way.
