Before the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded in The Gambia , we had thousands of people who wondered everyday not knowing where their next meal is going to come from. With COVID-19 in this equation, these numbers are rising at exponential rates which is why we need to take action #NOW!
With national and regional borders shut in a country where more than 40% of the population live under international poverty lines, our most vulnerable population will likely be the poor, elderly, sick and disabled Gambians with limited or no access to food.
To support these individuals and families during this difficult time, #Hope19 is working with partners on the ground to provide food to the poor, elderly, and disabled Gambians across the country.
