Bringing Home our Baby From Bulgaria

Donation protected
We are so excited to be starting on this crazy journey called"Adoption"! Sean and I have always felt a call to adopt, but the timing just never seemed right. After the Holidays, we felt like God just put a huge billboard in our front yard, covered in flashing lights that said "It is time!" Since we have always wanted a huge family (yes, more than 4), we decided to go for it!
This last year met us with some challenges. I was dealing with some medical issues (resolved!), Ryan was diagnosed with a chronic infection that caused some hearing troubles (which led to schooling difficulties), and we felt like God was telling us that it was time to slow down, de-stress, and prepare for the next "season" of our life. We put the kids in an awesome school where Ryans needs have been met, we opened up our schedule by giving up extra activities:..and we waited for what came next.
What came next was a huge calling to adopt:..More specifically, to adopt a little girl from Bulgaria. When we started, we planned to do a domestic adoption:.but we kept seeing doors close. Then we started looking at overseas adoption, and realized that although people adopt babies, there are several toddlers/pre schoolers that want:.NEED:..a family. Many of them won't live long, healthy lives without being matched with a family:.many of the children are already fighting sickness. Some of these children are abandoned in the mountains, Some are left in the marketplace, some are simply handed over to the orphanage. So, you can understand our desire to go and bring home our daughter, and give her the love and home that every child deserves.

Please be praying for us. This process can be long and full of hurtles to jump over. We believe in the power of prayer and would covet an army of prayer warriors!
We know money is something nobody wants to talk about, and we also know that the economy is brutal right now. But we also believe in "Kingdom Business" (in the words of a dear friend):..and we know that this adoption is all part of Gods plan for us. We want to invite you all to support us, if it is something you feel called to do.
Thanks!
Love Always,
The Parkers
