Rabbit Town Winter Relief Efforts 2019

Donation protected

The tiny community  of rabbit town is located just outside Ashland Montana on the North Cheyenne indian reservation, sadly this little enclave of about 45 houses and 85 families, has been largely forgotten about and passed over for emergency need donations as it's been virtually unknown until now. 2 decidedly critical factors are coming together to make this a potantially devestating crisis for rabbit town in the coming weeks. Weather experts are predicting a extremely brutal winter for the area this year and the flag that the only sole grocery store in Ashland, the only town within walking distance for people without a vehicle, closed its doors recently which has removed access to a majority of the food items available to residents before, and the only other retailer with food items has their prices so high that many homes cannot afford even the most basic of items. Hamburger priced at $6.59 a package Beef roast priced at $15.89 2.5 lb roast Toilet paper priced at $15.45 Canned fruit priced at $2.98 Many families recieve $200 or less in food assistance a month and at these prices the cost for a single meal could be well over 10% of available funds. Sadly Beer remains priced at 2/$1 We're looking to raise funds and donations to step in and try and help rabbit town get ready to endure the coming winter and we need your help We need as much canned, dry, and fresh food items as we can possibly get to distribute to the local community and to make community meals for homes without utilities or propane and no means to cook with to make sure these famlies get a hot meal as well.  Looking for:  Hamburger  Hotdogs Various meat items/products (sorry to all my vegan friends out there)  Flour Coffee Sugar Rice and Pastas Soup mixes Canned fruits and vegetables  Breads  Fresh fruits and/or vegetables  Cereals  Nuts/Trail mixes Snacks for kids  Winter gear needs: Coats Hats Scarves Gloves Mittens Boots Also trying to secure funds to purchase 2 major items a backyard flat top grill which will help with community meal preparation and a in home high volume water filtration system in order to help provide safe and clean water to community members until current water service can be returned to safe to drink status. Current water is a yellow/brown color and unsafe to drink without boiling first, and one of our two main springs that provide water for many families here on the reservation was found contaminated with ecoli and listed unsafe for use. Small propane tank x2  Propane for tanks fill x4  Gas funds for travel to Billings/Miles city and back for grocery transport for community members if we can establish a stable means of community income we may work to continue and expand on this service of helping community members get to Billings and back to do their shopping at least once a month in order to help with food costs. Target amount to raise $2,500  All donations, Food, Water, Clothing, Cash, Crypto will be publicly documented via the Mazacoin Blockchain for full transparency and public accountability.
