Sierra's Student Ambassador Journey
My name is Sierra Carlton. I am 14 years old, in the 9th grade, attending University
High School. I have been selected to join in a delegation of Student Ambassadors for the summer of 2013 with People to People. As a student ambassador I will represent not only the school I attend but my community and township as well. I have successfully completed the application and interview process and displayed competency, enthusiasm and the potential to grow. I am appealing to you for support to raise the money for this journey of a lifetime.The tour includes visiting Ireland, Wales, England, and France.
I have an opportunity to go to Europe on an educational, 19-day tour, July 14th - Aug 1,2013. I view this opportunity that has been afforded to me as a once in a lifetime opportunity and I do not want this to pass me by. I am very excited about being a part of this and would be very grateful if you would contribute to this exciting cause. I will be pleased to present and share my experience　with those interested upon my return.The goal that I have is to raise $7,700. All of the money raised, will go directly towards the People to People Program.
You can contribute as much or as little as you want. You can feel free to contribute a one-time amount, or you can contribute over a period of time. All contributions will make a difference towards the over-all tuition. I will update everyone on the status of my goal as the deadline approaches.

Student Ambassador programs visit schools, experience homestays, absorb world culture through firsthand exploration, meet with government experts, and enjoy unique insider access to significant people and places. Student Ambassadors prepare for this experience well in advance and are asked to keep a daily journal and participate fully in all activities for academic credit. One elective high school semester credit. Students build their leadership skills while working as a team with other students and making friends in a well-supervised environment of cultural exploration.
