Jason and Erica's Kids are Coming Home!!

Jason and Erica have spent the last 4 years of their lives deep in the trenches of orphan care ministry. As founders of The Raining Season (TRS), they have worked to provide a future for orphaned and neglected children while also trying to grow their own family in Nashville TN.  

Their heart for adoption began over 10 years ago... coming across an online photograph of a little girl across the world changed their lives forever. After a 4 year fight to bring her home, Jayda joined their family in 2004. 4 years later they began the fight to bring home Baby Adama... a child they found while working in the country of Sierra Leone in 2008. Sadly after years of waiting and unsuccessful attempts to rescue her, Adama went to be with Jesus in 2011. 

Through the heartbreak, their passion for the orphan and desire to grow their family grew stronger. Jason and Erica dreamed of continuing to grow their family through adoption and have never given up. They have spent the last two years working to create a process for independant adoptions in SL, hoping to help other children experience the gift of family.

This past August, Jason and Erica FINALLY received news they had officially been approved by the SL government to be the new adoptive parents of three amazing children. 

This did not come without hardship and financial strain. Erica has spent more than 7 months in country since their quest to open the doors to adoption began several years ago. They have had to maintain a current homestudy all these years...faced mutliple I600 expirations that required renewals totaling thousands of dollars. They hired multiple attorneys and spent most of their savings traveling in and out of country to be with their children while they waited for their adoption to become final. BIG LOVE nomatter the cost.

They are now in the homestretch. Their US Embassy review is almost finished and Erica will be traveling in January to bring their children home. This is one reunion that all who know this family will never forget! 

We ask for your prayers, for traveling mercy as she attempts to travel home with 3 young children. We ask that you pray for the transition of the children....and that this family will be able to pull together all resources needed to jump from a family of 4 to a family of 7 overnight.

We also ask that you will consider giving to their travel costs. Jason and Erica have managed to pay for ALMOST every penny of their adoption processes along the way. They do not fundraise because they hope that everyone they know will give to TRS. That being said they are struggling to cover the plane tickets home. Will you be one to help this family complete the call God has placed on their lives?
