I am writing to you with an opportunity to make a difference this new year and holiday season.
I am looking to participate in a volunteer service trip to the Siem Reap region of Cambodia this March, and I need YOUR help to get me there!
Through the charity Friends of the Cambodian Child's Dream Organization (CCDO), I will be working with other students and dental professionals to promote oral health education and oral disease prevention to the people of the former Khmer Rouge guerrilla stronghold.
Ever since my humbling journey to Honduras last year, I have been eager to embark on another volunteer project abroad. With a team of passionate volunteers, I hope to make a positive impact on the Cambodian people and empower the children to adapt dietary and lifestyle changes that can help combat serious problems like tooth decay. Every year, a new team returns to follow up our efforts and track the progress of the children. Unlike most humanitarian trips, this service utilizes low-cost intervention and prevention techniques that will resonate long-lasting results.
