Elexia's Garden

Donation protected
My name is Kyle and my wife Jay Jay. We have an amazing daughter her name is Elexia or Lexi. She is 6 years old and has had a very tough life. At 4 months old she was admitted to hospital as she was having around 15 seizures a day, after spending close to a month in hospital we were given the devastating news that she had an unknown form of epilepsy and infantile spasms, she was put straight onto dangerous medication that did reduce her seizures. Over the coming battling years Lexi is now 6, she also has an unknown condition that presents with her being non verbal and Also cannot walk without aid from us which is limited to a very short period of a few steps before going back to crawling. My wife Jay is Lexi's carer so I am the only person that works. Lexi is in a fantastic specialist school called Woodlands Meed, this does give my wife some restbite in the day. Elexia's seizures are nocturnal which means we are on constant alert, Lexi has an average of 2 - 3 seizures a week which last a staggering 7-9 minutes each time. As an example a 30 second seizure is the equivalent drain of an adult running half a marathon. Our life is very difficult and isolated, it's very difficult to integrate into modern society with a child with special needs you tend to get left behind and it's near impossible to mingle with families with a typical children. Although me and my wife very rarely get any alone time Lexi does get the best quality of life we can give her. Lexi is getting heavier as she grows and my health is not great as I have a lower back condition that I have to manage with medication, plus Jay's back is getting bad with all the lifting she has to do with Lexi So that's pretty much our life we love Lexi so much and she is generally a super happy child she has a smile that would light up a room. The reason for this go fund me is I would love to provide Lexi with a sutible safe environment outside. I am located on a corner plot next to a very busy road and my grass plot which is in dire need of restoration to become a safe haven for Lexi's garden. I have planning permission completed which luckily was free from the council on the basis that I have a disabled child. The plan is to errect a 2 metre fence around my boundary line next to the road, this will then isolate the dangers and can move onto the garden. The garden would be all ripped up and replaced with either fresh turf or fake grass, a pit would be dug to house a small pool around 3m by 2m Lexi loves to swim and has hydrotherapy twice a week at school this really helps her develop her skills with her movement. Other plans would be a small trampoline and a swing climbing set for the future if she ever can walk without assistance. We have had a small base extension The back of the house to have a utility room and a wet room for Lexi. Lexi is most probably going to have to move downstairs as she is getting heavy to lift. The extension is just a bare base and not anywhere close to finishing, with the little savings we have each month maybe in the next 10 years it will be finished, its difficult to pay for all bills on a single wage and have money left over. I thank you for your time and hope that u have warranted your time to read a small glimpse into our lives. Anything that you can spare will be a massive help to getting a beautiful garden for Elexia I can promise you your donation will be rewarded with her smile which is so worth it.
