On July 19, 2019 thirteen year old Sheldon Williams was close to Princeton, B.C. with his family for a fun weekend of riding quads. 1.5 hours into the weekend Sheldon had a serious roll over accident on a Polaris 500 quad resulting in a severe crush injury and compound fracture to his right forearm which is his dominant hand. Sheldon and his dad were flown to the B.C. Children's Hospital where doctors attempted everything possible to save his hand but it had to be amputated one week later.   Sheldon is playing rep soccer on a Chilliwack Under 16 team. His coach and family describe him as having a heart of a lion who never gives up.  This will only slow him down for a time but Sheldon has a never give up attitude which will carry him through. We are fund raising for the following: Trauma therapy. Assisted technology for daily living and school. Prosthetic limb(s) including a light weight high performance myoelectric hand for sports and other activities. Transportation and associated costs associated with rehabilitation and other expenses.
