Mountain Nation- Helping kids in Ecuador

Mountain Nation is a non-profit outreach program dedicated to helping at-risk youth in the Ecuador capitol of Quito.  Our mission is to identify kids currently involved with, or at risk of becoming involved with, gang activity and to provide them with positive experiences, a change of environment, supportive role models and the option of further educational or job opportunities.

Our programs take groups of kids out of the city and into the surrounding country to rock climb, backpack and enjoy a different environment far removed from the activities and stresses of their neighborhoods back home.  Kids can also choose to take advantage of our partnerships with local education organizations.

Looking forward we're excited to add vocational training and job placement services in 2013 to further empower these kids to help build themselves a brighter future that would not otherwise be attainable.

Your donation will be used to help fund our current programs, acquire needed equipment for the kids, as well as help us develop the job training and placement services in the coming year.  This support is critical to our ability to provide these services and we truly appreciate your generosity.  Thank you so very much for learning about our organization and helping us make things a little brighter in Quito!
