Survival for Black Disabled Migrant and Baby

Raising money for an activist and her newborn baby who have been made homeless after being unlawfully evicted due to the negligence of the local council. **ALL** of her belongings have been illegally thrown out due to this negligence and she has since not been compensated for the damages. She is currently unable to work as she has a very young baby to look after, plus multiple physical and mental health complications that have arisen as a result of the traumatic treatment, including post partum depression. She is being denied any form of financial support from the state. She is looking for a job at the moment but it is proving difficult to find one that accommodates her needs as a full time single parent with no income.
She’s a Black queer Muslim woman who has been at the forefront of multiple anti fascist and anti racist movements, speaking up and down the country at every given opportunity to encourage people to resist and fight back.
Money raised will go and has gone towards the following (from least to most expensive):
- Grocery shopping (food, toiletries, baby items)
- Baby clothes
- Medicine
- Medical care
- Transport to attend medical appointments for mum and baby (buses, taxis when necessary)
- Contributions to accommodation/rent
- Legal advice and admin fees for sorting immigration status/papers
Urgent monetary assistance is needed. All donations are appreciated and valued. It will go a long, long way to ensure the survival of this small but wonderful family for the next few months whilst they get their affairs in order. They deserve so much better! Please share this far and wide!
