LFCH India Support

Hello!

We are so excited to share with you that we are going to India in January 2013! The purpose of our trip is to serve Little Flock Children's Home, a community providing a home and education to 48 orphaned children in South India. Little Flock is also a place where widows can come and serve as mothers to the orphan children as well as learn vocational skills needed in order to financially support themselves. LFCH employs locals from the nearby villages.  Most people in this area are very poor and considered the outcast of India - LFCH offers hope and love to all who come.

We've been supporting LFCH for about 5 years now. Many times we've thought about going to there, and now the opportunity has come again and we have accepted the invitation to join the latest team!

We're still learning more about our tasks for the trip. Over the next 12 weeks we will be training with our team. We know we'll be working on a Dining Hall that will be used for event rentals such as weddings and conventions; this place will support the community financially very soon. We'll also be spending time with the children through some teaching. We're encouraged to know that whatever the project requires we are open to providing our energy and talents. It's also encouraging to know that there will be even more children blessed by this community when the funds are available to continue building.

As we prepare to go beyond Seattle to this community we'd like to invite you to join us in supporting this trip. We are saving up for our full trip costs and hoping to raise some of the costs with support from friends and family.
