Help Save the Outlaw Hill Healing Farm
Hello to all,
My Name is Lucas Mulvaugh.
I have designed this site to ask the people for help in saving my
healing farm in Livingston, Montana from being taken by the federal
government. This is my story.
On January of 2010 I opened a business called the Outlaw
Hill Health and Sustainability Institute.
The mission was to promote healthy living, spiritual consciousness, and
a sustainable future. The company had
seven different division all in various stages of development; medical
marijuana, organic food and plant medicine, spiritual consciousness,
alternative healing arts, sustainability, animal welfare, and education. The business was run in a professional and
legitimate manner and was helping many people. We paid all the required taxes
and insurances required for running a corporation, and were complying with
state law.
On March 14, 2011 26 medical marijuana businesses were
raided by the DEA in Montana. The raids
were conducted the same day a legislative committee vote was scheduled to
repeal Montana's medical marijuana law.
Outlaw Hill Health was one of the businesses raided. As a result of the raid the business was
dissolved. For the following year I
continued to develop parts of OHHSI's business plan primarily focusing on
healing arts, spirituality and plant medicine (non-cannabis). I eventually created another business called
Cardinal Consulting, which is still in existence. It is a holistic health consultation practice
and I am the sole proprietor.
On March 18, 2012 I was indicted by the federal government
on 7 counts of manufacture and distribution of marijuana, facing the
possibility of up to 40 yrs of mandatory prison time. You cannot use state medical marijuana laws
as a defense in federal court, because they still violate the federal
controlled substances act. After
exhausting all possible constitutional options with my attorney, it was in the best
interest for my future to accept a plea agreement. On Sept 13, 2011 I plead guilty to
maintaining a drug involved premises. It carries no mandatory minimum and the
judge can sentence me to whatever he wants.
I will be sentenced on Jan 3, 2013.
Part of the plea agreement requires me to pay $470,000 in
restitution to the federal government.
But if I can come up with $50,000 by Dec 14, 2012, then the restitution
will be nullified and I will owe no more money.
If I do not come up with the money then the government will auction my
farm and I will essentially be a debtor for the remainder of my life.
Through all of these obstacles I have still continued to
develop my farm into a place of healing, and am dedicated to helping those that
are sick. Though I feel I have been
oppressed by the federal government, I have chosen to not let that deter me
from the healing path. I work with many
sick people and currently have patients with cancer, MS, Hepatitis C,
fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, kidney failure, liver failure, post
traumatic stress, addiction, and spiritual afflictions. Through the use of plants, diet, alternative
healing arts, ceremony, and the Lakota sweat lodge, people are able to access
an alternative to traditional western medicine.
So I come to the people asking for help. I am a very prideful person and asking for
help in this way is difficult, but I truly need help. A donation to this cause will help preserve
the healing farm. It will also help
those that come to me for healing, and allow me to continue this work. To further understand the work I do you may
check out my facebook page, [email redacted],
and please know that if you, or others you know of, are in need of healing I am
available for consultation.
Please forward this website on to anyone you might know who
is sympathetic to this cause.
Thank You, Lucas
