10th Anniversary BW/CI Clean Streets Project

Dear Concerned Community Member,

In 2010 the Brentwood and Central Islip communities came together to address the graffiti issues we were facing as a result of prolonged gang activity in our neighborhoods! The first Paint Back the Streets event gave our community a platform for developing bonds which would have a significant impact upon our community.

Our community volunteers and businesses have been indispensable.  Through working together over the past 9 years, we have achieved what many initially thought would be possible: FORTY TONS of trash removed from the streets, OVER 400 Fences cleaned of graffiti, and thousands of volunteers engaged.  Through our collective effort we have truly made a difference.

As the event reaches its 10th Anniversary, it’s important to have you back.  Through your support of the 10th Anniversary Brentwood / Central Islip Clean Streets Project on April 25th 2020, beginning at 8:00am at Applebee's of Brentwood, our planning committee will be able to purchase the following items: Garbage Bags, Latex and heavy-duty gloves, brooms, rakes, plants and planting supplies, and refreshments for our all-volunteer group of participants. We also provide a keepsake t-shirt for all volunteers.
