1000km Across Tennessee for Trans-Fitness C.I.C.

Donation protected

A few years ago I started working to help Transgender and Non-Binary individuals to get fitter and healthier, either on their own or with other people.  Physical fitness can help mental well-being, and the waiting        time to access help and support can be lengthy.  I have qualifications in various aspects of health and fitness and felt that I could put them to    use if the need was there.

I started a website as an online directory to try and help Trans/Non-
Binary people to find activities near to them.  I began to see people
asking for other kinds of help - and so the website was extended to          include Social and Support groups as well as Sport.  It has since been      extended again to include hair and make-up, Personal Trainers and
various types of therapy, including counselling.

There is also a private group that Trans/NB people can join to get help  and support, and I use my various social media links to help signpost      people to other groups and charities that have events or support             networks that might be near to people who need them.

I wish to extend into further work doing workshops and seminars, and with this in mind I created Trans-Fitness C.I.C.

I believe that fitness is both a mental and physical thing, and many
Transgender and Non-Binary people need help and support to help
them to be who are they are meant to be - whether that is mental
health support, or guidance on Nutrition, or to become physically fitter and healthier.  Often, Trans and Non-Binary people are ostracised from their families, or find it difficult to get employment - purely because of who they are, and through no fault of their own.  This can lead to
various health issues - and I want to be able to help where I can, and
within my realms of expertise.  I have taken courses in other areas such as Peer Mentoring and Life Coaching in order to be able to provide
assistance in these areas as well as those in the health and fitness
arena.

I have been doing it at my own expense up to now, but I need your help to help me expand and take things further.

To start the ball rolling, I have entered the Great Virtual Race Across
Tennessee, which is a fraction over 1000km.  This is to be achieved by  August 31st - it averages out at 5.13 miles per day.  Whilst I am a
runner, this is the biggest challenge that I have ever taken on in the
sporting arena (my own transition is still the biggest life challenge that I have undertaken).  If you would like to support me (or see me suffer) as I take this challenge, then please consider a donation that will allow me to help others.

Thank you.
