Can you help join us in making a difference in  the lives of young black teenagers and young adults  in poorer inner city estates ?

We are raising match funding money in aid of
THE  WILLIAM SEYMOUR PROJECT  at  CENTRE  FOR THEOLOGY AND COMMUNITY to
create pathways, opportunities  and  internships for young black people to shape  and engage in grassroots and national politics.

We are asking 100 churches and/or Individuals to donate a one time £100  donation to help this cause.

Every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause  that will help to impact the lives of young people from poorer estates.

The William Seymour Project " A Public Practical Pentecostalism"  is the Pentecostal arm of The Centre of Theology and Community. We  engage and equip black Pentecostal churches to
challenge injustice in their communities through Community Organising. We focus on three
areas.

1. Pentecostal Congregational Development which emerges Pentecostal Pastors into an
ecumenical leadership space to learn the tools of community organising and to equip churches
to build partnerships, alliances, relational and political power to drive through change in their communities.

2. Millennial and Young Adult Political Leadership & Discernment gathers Pentecostal leaders
between 18 and 30 to learn the craft of community organising through seminars and retreats. We also equip these leaders to occupy public and political spaces in partnership with Buxton
Leadership Programme where they are able to work in political placement and church and our
developing William Seymour Internship equipping inner city leaders to act for justice .

3. Frontline Prisons work.  In collaboration with HMP Wandsworth Chaplaincy , we are
gathering Pentecostal leaders and community organisers to engage with prisoners who are
Christian , or who want to explore Christian faith. We are developing community organising listening campaigns , and accessible tools for bible study , to work with prisoners and their families on exciting gang culture , and securing stable support and housing after release.

What we have achieved so far:

We are also starting a Justice and Leadership Course, which is an introduction to community organising from a faith based perspective. Check out our promo video
